| Pickabook is pleased to support I.T. Schools Africa. |
| I.T. Schools Africa (ITSA) is a British charity which recycles
computers for use in schools in Africa. |

|
British schools and businesses donate their used computers to ITSA. ITSA
securely wipes data from the computers, and refurbishes them. The refurbishment
is often done at UK prisons under the programme for restorative
justice. ITSA then sends the computers free-of-charge to schools in
countries such as Zambia, Malawi, Zimbabwe and Tanzania. |
| Every computer is used by an average of 75 students over a
three-year period. Therefore, a donation of just a few computers can help the
education of hundreds of African children. |
| So far, more than 20,000 computers have been sent to 850 schools. |
| If your school would like to donate computers, or if you would
like more information, please visit
ITSA's website
|
| To fund its operations in Africa, IT Schools Africa has a number
of low-cost PCs that can also be bought by schools. Please contact ITSA for
futher information. |
